Student Life
Euroculture Göttingen will hold orientation days at the start of each semester. You will get introduced to the university, its resources and course management systems. We will have a campus tour and usually also go for an excursion.

Göttingen provides high-quality health care services through public and private medical facilities. For example, here you can drop by without an appointment. The Psychological Counseling Center (PSB) can provide temporarily psychological counselling and can assist in identifying established psychotherapists who can treat in foreign languages. Transportation
Getting to Göttingen by train is very easy from Hanover (about 1 ½ hours) or from Hamburg (about 2 hours), and also from Frankfurt (about 2 hours). The nearest international airport to Göttingen is located in Hanover. Hanover Airport has regular train connections to Göttingen (with transfer at Hanover central train station). It will take you around one hour to reach Göttingen. The second nearest airports are Frankfurt/Main and Hamburg; from there you can reach Göttingen within 2 hours by train. | |
Göttingen has a good transportation network. With your student card you can travel in most parts of the city by bus for free, although riding a bike is normally quicker. It does not cost much to rent a bike in Göttingen for a day (11 Euros for renting a bike for 24 hours). Buying a bicycle in Göttingen is no problem either. There are several bicycle shops in Göttingen, but you can also buy bikes second hand or rent a bike for a whole month through. | |
