On Tuesday, 6 October 2026, our Inspiration Day for teaching will once again take place on the fourth floor of the Verfügungsgebäude. In workshops, presentations and interactive formats, you will receive new ideas for your digital and analogue teaching practice.
The focus will include the reflective use of artificial intelligence, AI-resistant exam tasks, activating digital teaching, academic work with AI, as well as various tools for designing teaching and learning processes.
In addition, the event provides space for exchange with other teaching staff as well as with the participating teams and speakers.

Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT threaten the validity of online exams because students can also use them in these settings and LLMs can solve traditional formats such as single-choice questions very well. Based on a strengths-and-weaknesses analysis, AI-resistant task types were developed: studies show that many LLMs do not solve these optimally and that some students can outperform them with AI support. Together, we will discuss what this means for the design of online assessments and whether AI-resistant tasks can offer an alternative to technical monitoring.

The contribution introduces Worked Examples, i.e. model examples, as a proven didactic format and shows how AI can be used as a discussion partner to support learning. It is based on a study developed within the GAIA project during the introductory phase of physics studies; its findings and possible implications for higher education teaching will be presented and discussed.
